My Story, His Glory

My name is Latasha Bailey also known as Tasha Simone, the creative behind WrittenByTsimone—a faith-based songwriter, storyteller, and creative with a heart to use music as a tool for healing, truth, and transformation.

Writing has always been a part of me. Since I was a teenager, music became my safe place—where I could process what I felt, express what I couldn’t say out loud, and make sense of life through lyrics. What started as a personal outlet eventually became something much deeper: a calling.

My journey with music took a defining turn during a low season. While battling depression, I found myself in my bedroom, writing not for an audience—but for survival, for healing, and for God. Every lyric became a prayer. Every song became a release.

Out of that season came my album, “Sincerely, Confessions Of A Healing Heart” released in November 2025.

What I thought would simply help me heal turned into something far greater.
Without a record label, without management—just faith and obedience—the project reached over 200,000 streams in just four months.

Songs like “Sisterhood In The Kingdom” and “God’s Daughter” began to resonate with women everywhere, becoming more than just music—they became a soundtrack for healing, identity, and faith.

That’s when I truly understood:
This gift was never just for me.

Since then, I’ve continued to build and create through projects like:

  • “Sincerely, More Confessions Of A Healing Heart”

  • “Before The Crown”

Each body of work reflects different layers of my journey—healing, becoming, surrender, and walking in purpose.

As a creative, I also embrace the use of innovative tools like AI in my music process—using it to help bring my written lyrics to life through sound and vocal expression. At the core of it all, every song begins with my heart, my story, and my relationship with God, allowing me to merge creativity and technology in a way that still honors the message and purpose behind each piece.

In addition to songwriting, I am also stepping into speaking—sharing my testimony, faith, and creative journey to encourage others in their healing, identity, and walk with Christ.

Today, through WrittenByTsimone, I use my gift to help others do the same.

Whether it’s through songwriting or speaking, my goal is to help people:

  • Tell their stories

  • Find healing in their experiences

  • And ultimately encounter the love and truth of Jesus Christ

I believe music and speaking are some of the most powerful ways to reach the heart—and I’m committed to creating and helping others create from a place of authenticity, faith, and purpose.

This is more than music.
This is ministry.
This is storytelling.
This is purpose.
